Storytelling is one of the most important things we do as humans. Heroism. Adventure. Tragedy. Love. Bravery. Stories are an escape from the mundane, and they dare us to imagine the impossible, both for the world and for ourselves. 

And that is at the heart of the kinds of games Darktwin strives to create.  We want to tell stories recognize the player, take their actions into account and tell the story about the one character that will always be paramount.


The stories with the most impact — the ones that mean the most — are always our own. While it’s fun and exciting to ride that million dollar roller coaster ride, the most wonder comes from gazing inside and asking, “What will I do? How will I be remembered?”

In every step of our design process, we set out to give our players a personal, intimate experience that is truly their own. Our dream is to create the tools for people to craft a legend of their own; a place and a world where — for just a moment — they are the true masters of their own destiny.

Darktwin Studios is bringing humanity back to storytelling by putting the player at the center of their own story.   

Darktwin Studios’ first game is called Thunderstar: Space Mercenary Manager, a galaxy-spanning science fiction adventure that thrusts the player into the role of a mercenary on the lawless fringes of unexplored space.  The decisions you make in Thunderstar Juggernaut will have far reaching consequences for the characters you interact with as well as the galaxy at large.  At every step of the design process we have worked hard to ensure that the player is in the driver seat choosing how they want to play.
